Title: ISSA Hygieia Network: The Importance of Male Allies in the Workplace

Description:

Women make up over 50% of the cleaning industry workforce but are less represented at higher level positions. As the industry works to be more inclusive of women at the top levels and across all sectors, there is an opportunity for men to accelerate progress and break down barriers. Men can help drive gender parity by creating an inclusive environment where women’s accomplishments are recognized, and job advancement and enrichment are encouraged.

This panel will address:

How male allies can facilitate women’s career advancement (e.g., mentors, networking, etc.)
Practical tips that male allies can implement to support women in the workplace
How men can engage and collaborate with women in the workplace
Strategies that organizations can use to create a culture to support the work of male allies
