Event Information

Title: Infection Prevention in a School Setting: Safer Disinfection, Best Practices and Training Tools

Description:

Improper cleaning and disinfection practices – such as using inappropriate products and application methods, or failing to communicate with cleaning workers, students and staff – can expose building occupants to unsafe levels of hazardous chemicals. Our panel of speakers will share procurement, training and location specific cleaning and disinfection requirements that are outlined in the Standard to help promote healthy, safe infection prevention methods. This session will spell out effective and responsible cleaning practices for health and safety, providing alternatives to COVID-19 disinfection regimens that can expose students and staff to unnecessary health risks from hazardous chemicals.
