Isaac Johnson
Isaac Johnson has worked for more than 23 years within the Healthcare Support Services industry.
Isaac began his career in 2001 as an Operations Manager at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD and Assistant Director at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. In 2005, he was promoted to Associate Director at the Medical University of South Carolina, and in 2007 he advanced to the position of Director of Environmental Services at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. Isaac’s responsibilities included the oversight of 155 FTE’s, day-to-day environmental services operations as well as playing a key role in converting the hospital staff to the contracted labor model.
In 2010, Isaac accepted the position of Resident Regional Manager at The University of Florida Medical Center where he successfully participated in opening multiple medical office buildings, including a new Cancer Hospital, which boasted 199 private rooms, dedicated to cancer treatment and healing.
Duke University Hospital (DUH) was another pivotal point in his career where in 2013, Isaac was appointed Resident Regional Manager of Environmental Services. DUH is a 4.5 Million sq. ft. hospital and nursing school with 50+ outer clinics, medical office and research buildings. Isaac led a team of 50+ management associates and 650+ FTE’s. In this role Isaac was able to increase employee satisfaction from Tier III status to Tier I across all EVS work units (Moorehead/Press Ganey survey) and raised patient satisfaction scores by double digits.
In 2014, Isaac accepted the role of Regional Director of Operations and had oversight of 7 Duke University Hospital Healthcare facilities in the greater Raleigh/Durham, NC area as well as Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA. In 2021 Isaac decided to take on a new challenge within healthcare as Vice President of Operations for the South and Mid-Atlantic regions. The multiple healthcare facilities include Atrium Health a member of Advocate Health greater NC & GA, Northside Healthcare System, Northeast Georgia Health System and a host of other healthcare environmental services and food services operations.
Isaac is an active member of the Indoor Environmental Healthcare and Hospitality Association (IEHA) (a division of the International Sanitary Supply Association) and holds the role of Chairperson for the IEHA Board of Directors. Isaac holds the distinctive MRESE, Master Registered Environmental Services Executive designation. Isaac holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from Virginia State University (Cum Laude).
