Matt Johnston

Matt Johnston serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Midlab and advisor board member for Inspire Solution, where his entrepreneurial drive has significantly shaped the global chemical manufacturing industry. His strategic leadership has spurred enhancements in supply chain optimization, manufacturing engineering, and technology integration. Furthermore, his efforts have catalyzed company growth through mergers and acquisitions, the establishment of multiple startups, and the acquisition of numerous patents. Before joining Midlab, Matt was the Director of Technology at Kelsan, a national JanSan distributor, enhancing profitability and streamlined operations through strategic technology integration and operational enhancements. His tenure in the U.S. Marine Corps span three international deployments throughout the European region, alongside a pivotal role in IT development for the Marine Corps and Navy as Chief of the Information Systems Management Office for the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Matt holds advanced degrees and certification from multiple universities including the University of Tennessee, Western Governors University, MIT, Wharton, and Kellog Business School.
